Stannah - Signage for New Andover Facility
Client Overview
In 2024, we were approached by Stannah during the construction of their new factory in Andover. They required two key signage elements for the site:
- An illuminated external sign
- 2 large illuminated monolith signs
We received approval in June to proceed with production and installation, with a completion deadline set for August.
Project Details
External Sign - The client provided an initial design for the external sign, measuring over 10m wide and standing 2m tall. After reviewing the concept, we proposed using spring flex letters, powder-coated in the brand’s colours, with a translucent face to ensure even, vibrant illumination.
Illuminated Monolith - Our Centre Manager, José Ferreira, designed the monolith signs which have a combination of built up Stannah logos and fret cut, pushed through wayfinding detail customised to fit the site layout and optimise visibility.
Challenges & Solutions
As with any large-scale installation, there were a few logistical hurdles to overcome:
- We hired access equipment to safely install the large external sign.
- A HIAB was required to transport the monolith from our premises to the site as well as lifting them into position.
- Transport occurred on the day before a bank holiday, which significantly increased traffic and caused unexpected delays, making the process more challenging than anticipated.
Despite these challenges, the project remained on track and was delivered within the agreed timeframe.
