This branded interiors project, completed in partnership with Karol Marketing, a creative agency based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was an important component of a wider rebranding initiative for NorthStandard’s UK Headquarters on Newcastle’s Quayside.
Project Overview
The brief, as outlined by Karol Marketing, was to transform a set of bare interior and exterior spaces into environments that would embody and communicate NorthStandard’s core brand values.
The aim was to create a professional yet inspiring workspace that would leave a strong impression on both visitors and staff. Every stage of our delivery was underpinned by this objective. Working hand-in-hand with Karol, we ensured that each graphical and signage element contributed meaningfully to this vision, delivering a cohesive, branded experience that met both aesthetic and functional standards.

Solutions Provided
From conception to completion, creativity played a central role throughout. We took Karol Marketing’s designs and enhanced them with innovative solutions tailored to the unique challenges of the space. For instance, to maximise visual impact on sloped walls (where height varied by up to 400mm), we proposed the use of one-piece wallpaper.
This approach removed the need for joins, delivering a seamless and bold floor-to-ceiling visual that would have been compromised by traditional methods.

Challenges Faced
Similarly, for the exterior glazing, One-Way Vision Window Graphics were designed to incorporate QR codes, a clever integration of digital interactivity into the physical environment. However, the perforated nature of the material meant the QR codes were unreadable. To resolve this, we devised a solution by strategically placing clear patch panels behind the QR areas, which were invisible to the eye yet fully scannable. This ensured functionality without compromising the visual integrity of the design.
The project presented several installation challenges from sloped architectural features to mixed surface types, all of which demanded precision, adaptability, and technical expertise. The five-day installation process was carried out by our skilled two-person team and involved a series of pre-production surveys, collaborative reviews, and stakeholder approvals to ensure flawless execution.
Particularly complex was the alignment of floor-to-wall graphics on uneven surfaces, along with maintaining consistency in messaging throughout varied zones. Our ability to anticipate and overcome these issues was key to the project’s success. Materials were carefully selected for durability and visual quality, including:

- One-Piece Wallpaper for uninterrupted floor-to-ceiling installations

Project Highlights
The transformation was striking. What began as a blank canvas became a vibrant, energising and strategically branded space that we’re hugely proud of.
The exterior signage delivered strong kerb appeal and brand presence, while interior graphics showcased NorthStandard’s identity through motivational messaging, bold visuals, and precise execution.
The entire space now communicates clarity, creativity, and professionalism, all qualities which are synonymous with the NorthStandard brand.
