Our Work
City Gateway 14-19 Provision
We recently had the pleasure of working with City Gateway, a charity based in Tower Hamlets, London, that helps young people and disadvantaged communities build brighter futures.
They got in touch with us about updating the signage for their 14–19 Provision buildings, which form a big part of the charity’s education and training programme. The idea was to create something that looked modern, clear, and professional — signage that would lift the space while still feeling welcoming to students and visitors.

Client needs
City Gateway’s buildings are busy learning environments used by staff, students, and visitors every day. Their existing signs had done their job for years but were beginning to look dated.
They wanted a complete refresh — new exterior and interior signs, directional wayfinding, door plaques, window graphics, and a main feature sign that really stood out.
We sat down with the team, looked at the site layout, and talked through what would work best both visually and practically.

Our approach
We recommended a clean, simple design using acrylic and aluminium composite panels — durable materials that always give a high-quality finish. The signs were digitally printed with City Gateway’s branding and colour scheme to keep everything consistent.
- The final package included:
- Internal wayfinding and door signs
- Exterior building signs
- Window graphics for privacy and brand continuity
- A curved feature sign measuring nearly four metres wide
- Floor and site plans to make navigation easy
Everything was produced in-house at our Harlow centre to make sure colours, finishes, and materials all matched perfectly.

Challenges and solutions
Installation was carried out by our fitting team, who made sure the work caused as little disruption as possible to the day-to-day running of the building. Each sign was measured, aligned, and fitted with care — the kind of detail that makes a big difference when you step back and look at the finished result.
The City Gateway team were involved throughout, checking proofs, reviewing colours, and helping us make small adjustments as we went. It was a real partnership from start to finish.

The Outcome
The transformation was immediate. The new signage gave the buildings a brighter, more welcoming feel while making it easier for students and visitors to find their way around.
The modern materials and fresh branding also brought the exterior right up to date — a great reflection of the positive work City Gateway does in the community every day.
