Leading local construction company Warden Construction was awarded the contract to build the new state-of-the-art school and called upon Signs Express (Central Lancashire) for their expert advice to create a suitable signage scheme. Working closely with the School, the architect and Warden Construction internal and external signage was designed to tie-in with colour coded areas and create a strong new brand identity for the school.
An important element of the project as a whole was the sustainability and environmental impact on the community. Signs Express (Central Lancashire) endeavoured to reduce the environmental impact where possible through the signage package. All the signs where made from aluminium composite. Aluminium composite panels can be fully recycled after the life of the sign has expired. The digital prints for the images and text on the signs were printed using latex ink. Latex inks produce odourless prints that are ideal for sensitive indoor areas like hospitals, schools and restaurants. They emit virtually no VOCs, no ozone and no hazardous air pollutants and meet the GREENGUARD Children & Schools standard for low emitting products.
