Refreshed Wayfinding for Sarova Hotels

The sign itself had been doing its job for years, but it was starting to show its age. The brief was simple: keep the feel of the place, make it sharper, and ensure guests could read it easily when they arrived. A clean refresh that didn’t stick out or feel overly modern.

Instead of starting from scratch, we recommended keeping the pylon and giving it a new face. It’s something we often do when the base is still in good shape; it’s more efficient, less wasteful, and in this case, completely practical.

We used 5mm acrylic letters, laser-cut here at our Twickenham centre. The finish is professional, and the material stands up well to weather, important for signage that’s out all year round. Once we had everything ready, we installed the new lettering directly onto the existing structure.

We began with a site visit to take proper measurements and check the state of the pylon. Once the design was signed off, we cut the lettering and fitted everything with minimal disruption. The install was straightforward, and we timed it around hotel activity, so it didn’t get in the way.

The result is simple, but effective. The sign now looks much more in line with the rest of the hotel, and it does a better job of guiding guests where they need to go. More importantly, it blends in without fading into the background, a neat balance that reflects the hotel’s overall feel.
