About the Client
Hypnos is one of those brands that takes real pride in doing things properly.
They’ve built a strong reputation as an award-winning British manufacturer of handcrafted beds and mattresses, with sustainability and long-term quality at the core of what they do. Holding a Royal Warrant only reinforces that. It’s a brand people trust, and naturally, that expectation carries through to how their spaces and vehicles look and feel.
Signs Express Aylesbury has worked with the Hypnos team for quite a few years now. What started as a handful of individual jobs has gradually grown into a steady working relationship, supporting different areas of their business as and when they need it.

The Brief and How It Evolved
This didn’t start with a single request.
Over time, it became clear they needed a more consistent approach, making sure everything across their site and vehicles felt aligned with their brand.
Some of it was practical:
clearer navigation for visitors and staff
making sure different areas of the site felt connected
Some of it was more about feel:
keeping things clean and considered
avoiding anything that looked too busy or overworked
And importantly, it wasn’t all happening at once. The work needed to fit around their operations and roll out in stages.
Getting Into the Details
A few parts of the project needed more thought than you might expect at first glance.
The wall graphics were probably the most technically involved. Because of the scale, they couldn’t just be printed and applied in one go. Everything had to be resized, split into sections, and installed carefully so that joins didn’t stand out. When it’s done right, you don’t notice it, which is exactly the point.
Colour matching also took a bit of time to get right. Printed vinyl and painted walls don’t always behave the same way, especially when you’re dealing with different finishes. We worked through a few options to make sure nothing looked slightly out of place once installed.
Then there’s the consistency piece. When you’re applying branding across vehicles, windows, internal graphics and external signage, small differences can creep in if you’re not careful. Keeping everything aligned meant regular check-ins and making sure we were all on the same page throughout.
How We Worked Together
Rather than treating each request as a standalone job, we approached it more as an ongoing piece of work.
We supported with artwork where needed, talked through material options, and helped the team understand what would work best in different areas - not just visually, but in day-to-day use as well.
Across the various stages, we delivered:
Vehicle graphics across cars and vans
Internal wall graphics to bring the workspace to life
Window graphics for both branding and privacy
External signage and parking signs
Material choice varied depending on the job. Vehicles needed something durable that would hold up over time, whereas internal graphics were more about finish and how they sat within the space. It’s never a one-size-fits-all approach.
A Standout Moment
The wall graphics are probably the part that people comment on most.
They’ve changed the feel of the interior without overwhelming it. It’s still a calm, professional space, just with more identity running through it.
Delivering the Work
Everything was delivered in stages, working around the client’s schedule.
That meant planning installs carefully, keeping communication open, and making sure each part was completed properly before moving on to the next. No rushing things through just to tick them off.
From our side, the focus stayed straightforward:
keep communication clear
make practical recommendations
and deliver something that works properly once it’s in place
The Result
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
What Hypnos now has is a much more connected environment.
The branding across the site and vehicles feels consistent without being over the top. Visitors can move around more easily, and the overall space reflects the same level of care that goes into their products.
Final Thoughts
Projects like this tend to build gradually rather than happen all at once.
It’s not really about a single install - it’s about making sure everything adds up over time. When that’s done well, the result feels natural, not forced.
That’s usually when you know it’s working.
