When Gü Desserts took on a new production site in Bishop’s Stortford, they wanted their bold and playful branding to stand out on the exterior of the building. Having worked with Signs Express (Harlow) previously, their Projects Manager at parent company Noble Foods came to us knowing we could turn their ideas into large-scale, eye-catching signage. The goal was to give the new site an immediate presence that matched the look and feel of their marketing.

Project Overview & Solutions Provided
The brief required signage that would:
-
Showcase Gü’s iconic “explosion” graphics
-
Make the main reception wall a standout feature
-
Extend the branding throughout the site, including the main driveway and entrance
-
Stay consistent with the company’s well-established brand guidelines
The client expected signage that was bold, professional, and instantly recognisable as Gü.
We created a full signage package that included:
-
Main wall re-facing: Vinyl-faced aluminium panels applied from floor to first floor, cut and shaped neatly around windows and doors, creating a striking branded reception wall.
-
Driveway signage: Matching graphics installed along the main approach, incorporating their strapline “Out of this world hits of pleasure”.
-
Directional signage: Both post-and-panel signs and wall-mounted trays installed to guide visitors clearly from Dunmow Road into the site.
The signage not only served a functional purpose but also carried the distinctive Gü identity across the entire exterior.

Role Details & Challenges Faced
Signs Express (Harlow) managed the project from design through to installation. Our role included:
-
Site survey and consultation
-
Design development in line with brand guidelines
-
Production of all signage panels and graphics
-
On-site installation by our specialist fitting team
One of the biggest challenges was the scale of the main wall re-facing. The panels had to be installed seamlessly across multiple floors while working around existing doors and windows. Careful measuring and shaping ensured a flawless finish that looked intentional, not compromised.

Project Highlights
-
The reception wall graphic completely transformed the look of the building, making it instantly identifiable as Gü’s site.

Our Testimonial
“We’ve always enjoyed working with Gü because they like to be bold with their branding. This project was a great example of how creative design can be scaled up and applied to an industrial site without losing its character. The main wall graphic is a real standout and it was rewarding to see the client’s reaction once it was installed.”
