Re-brand for Compass Health and Fitness Gym Scarborough

The brief
We’d spoken before about her new logo, and she wanted signs that would show it off and modernise the whole look of the building. The first step was to visit the site to see how the current signs were sitting. The logo was strong, so we built everything around that. Christina liked the idea of light but didn’t want anything too bright or harsh. Together we agreed on a style that felt fresh but still fitted the character of the gym.
Materials and Technologies used
For the welcome area we made a three-dimensional logo, cut from acrylic and wrapped in coloured vinyl to match her brand shades. Behind it we fitted low-energy blue LEDs. They throw a soft halo against the wall, so the sign glows rather than glares.
We also added frosted window film on the glass panels around the spin room. It keeps a bit of privacy for classes while letting daylight through — a simple fix that works well.
The last piece was a big, illuminated fascia sign. It had to look clean in daylight and just as good after dark. We used milled polished acrylic backed with CNC-cut aluminium composite for strength. Once lit, the lettering shines evenly and stands out right down the street.
The End Result
The new look has changed the feel of the place. In the day the polished acrylic catches the sun; at night the blue halo gives the building real presence. Christina told us she’s over the moon — the signs now reflect the energy of her gym and give her brand the spark it deserved.
