Formerly part of the CarePlus franchise, the business is now independently led by John Keane, who set out to create a fresh and unified identity across seven sites. This rebrand wasn't just a change of name, it marked a shift in focus towards a more community-centred, health-first message with a clean and welcoming aesthetic.

Project Objective
When John first approached us, he wasn’t just looking for new signs he wanted each pharmacy to feel like the same friendly, trusted space, whether you were in Mullingar or Dublin. It wasn’t about just putting up new signs, it was about creating something that felt right and fit alongside the seven pharmacy locations. With the clock ticking, he needed a partner who could move quickly and still deliver to the highest standard.
Challenges
This wasn’t just a quick refresh. With a firm launch date already set, the team had to work efficiently and stay one step ahead at every stage. A few key challenges stood out:
- Time Constraints: The rebrand had to be completed in time for a specific launch date. That meant the design, production, and fitting phases had to be managed efficiently, with no margin for delay.
- Volume of Work: From external signage to hundreds of shelf edge strips and wayfinding graphics, there was a substantial amount of physical work required across all seven pharmacies.
- Brand Consistency: Ensuring a uniform look across different buildings and interiors, many of which had varying layouts and existing fixtures, was no small feat.
- Collaborative Coordination: HealthPoint’s internal designer needed to work hand-in-hand with the Signs Express team to keep the project moving while limiting disruption to day-to-day operations.
Solution
John partnered with Signs Express Mullingar & Dublin, choosing them for their hands-on approach and ability to deliver across multiple sites. The project was handled from start to finish by our team, including:
External Signage
- Tray Signs with Illumination: Using folded Dibond trays and push-through acrylic letters, the new signs were clean, bold and highly visible particularly with the internal LED lighting.
- Backlit Lettering: LEDs were fitted to enhance night-time visibility, helping the new brand stand out around the clock.
- Weatherproof Materials: Materials were selected for long-term durability, ensuring minimal maintenance and a professional finish in all weather conditions.
Internal Signage
- Shelf and Gondola Branding: Bespoke graphics were applied across shelving units and product gondolas, reflecting the HealthPoint colour scheme and messaging.
- Updated Look and Feel: Older graphics were replaced with a softer colour palette and more approachable language, in line with the refreshed brand identity.
- Artwork Support: The team at Signs Express worked directly with HealthPoint’s designer to refine artwork, fast-track approvals, and keep production running smoothly.


Execution
All seven pharmacies were rebranded on time and within the agreed scope. Planning played a big role here by staging installations around each site’s opening hours, and disruption to patients and staff was kept to a minimum. Regular check-ins and clear communication between teams meant nothing was left to chance.
Results
The rebrand gave HealthPoint Pharmacy a fresh, consistent identity that feels instantly recognisable and reflects their community-focused values. The new signage looks professional and welcoming, helping to build trust and reinforce the pharmacy’s commitment to accessible, high-quality care.
Everything was delivered on time and to a high standard, with clear communication and careful planning throughout.
