Sign Maker/Installer - Swansea

Location: Signs Express Swansea

Salary: The salary offered will be comparative with the candidate's experience.

Working Hours: Permanent, full-time position - 8.30am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday (with occasional need to be flexible to work outside these hours if required).

Travel: Clean drivers’ licence with ability to travel locally.

About the Role:

• You will be involved in all production and installation aspects of the business offering a varied role.
• Sign making, using a wide range of substrates including ACM, Acrylics, Metals, Wood, Vinyl and Foam PVC, etc.
• Reading briefs accurately with a good understanding of the different types of signage and manufacturing techniques.
• You will be capable to handle heavy and awkward shape materials and be confident working at height off ladders, scaffolding and access lifts.
• Using power tools and various machinery.
• Installation of different types of signs from flat panels, trays, post mounted to illuminated built up letters etc.
• Installation of vehicle graphics / wall / window graphics.
• Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood and followed to the highest level.
• Understanding of Health and Safety at work/height.
• Excellent standard of customer service.

 

About You:

• Excellent sign making and product knowledge across a wide range of materials and processes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be comfortable working at heights using various access equipment.
• Confident with the use of power tools and willingness to learn.
• Attention to detail, motivated and a keen eye for detail.
• A positive attitude and being a skilled problem solver is essential.
• Be able to work within a small team or by yourself.
• IPAF / PASMA / CSCS accreditations are desirable.
