A recent Chairman’s dinner, organised by the British Franchise Association (bfa), brought together more than 100 guests from around the franchise sector and recognised 4 people making a key contribution to the industry.
At the glitzy black-tie event the bfa chairman, Michael Eyre, announced the four recipients of the prestigious bfa Companionship awards.
The awards recognise the people that have made a significant contribution to the franchise industry and the bfa. The winners included David Corbett from Signs Express, Melvin Lusty from Chemex, Penny Hopkinson from Manual Writers and Gordon Patterson from FDS.
David Corbett is a founding director of Signs Express and the former managing director became chairman of the leading signs and graphics franchise in 2007. He has been involved in franchising for over 20 years, championing ethical franchising and has been on the board of the bfa and the European Franchise Federation during this time.
