Signs Express (Huddersfield) were commissioned by JLA to brand their fleet of company vehicles.
JLA, the UK’s leading supplier of commercial laundry equipment, uses a fleet of VW Caddymaxi vans and were replacing 34 of them for 2012. They contacted their local Signs Express centre, based in Huddersfield to discuss their branding requirements for the new fleet.
Commenting on the initial visit, Signs Express (Huddersfield) centre owner Martin Davis said:
“JLA were initially considering using orange and white reflective vinyl for all the graphics but after I advised about the legalities of where reflective vinyl is placed on vehicles, it was decided to use flat colours for the whole project.”
Having a good working relationship with the VW dealership manager, Martin discussed the design and installation and carried out a trial application on a single new van to demonstrate the finished result, as well as the high quality of workmanship by his team – delighted with the results of the trial, JLA and VW gave the Huddersfield team the go ahead for the fleet. It was agreed the graphics would be installed at the dealership over a 6 month period as the vans trickled through at the rate of 3-4 at a time.
Work commenced in August 2011 and the final vehicle was completed in January 2012.
Martin and his team are delighted to announce they have received the contract for an extra 20 vans, required in the first half of 2012 – the vinyl applications have started for this new batch.
As a result of this work, Signs Express (Huddersfield) has also received several orders from JLA to apply replacement graphics to vans involved in minor accidents and have had bodywork repairs. The vans, spread across the UK, will be looked after by their nearest Signs Express centre ensuring brand consistency throughout – a key benefit of using the UK’s largest sign maker, Signs Express.
